Samy works for a company based in Saskatchewan, Canada, that specializes in manufacturing pulse-derived meals, protein, starch, and fiber for use in food ingredients and branded feed products. Her company is one of the world's largest suppliers of beans, staple foods, and food ingredients.
Samy chose to purchase equipment from China for two reasons: for one thing, the overall economic turmoil is unpredictable, and the investment risk of buying expensive equipment from Europe and the U.S. is higher; for another, China's technology and manufacturing capabilities continue to improve, and its equipment can meet his demand.
In November 2018, Samy purchased an FT95 twin-screw production line from LIGHT to produce vegetable protein. The production line ran smoothly and soon achieved profitability. The company’s executive was very satisfied with his procurement decision, so at the end of 2020, Samy continued to buy a total of about 1.8 million US dollars of machines from us.
